Gusty winds, thundershowers may hit Dhaka

Gusty winds and thundershowers may hit the capital and its surrounding areas today, according to the Meteorological Department.

The met office forecast that the sky may be partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy for the next 6 hours from 7.00am on Sunday (April 13). There is also a possibility of rain or thundershowers during this period.

Additionally, the wind may blow from the west or southwest at a speed of 8-12 kilometers per hour, which may temporarily increase to 40-50 kilometers in the form of gusty winds, the forecast says.

At 6:00am, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 26.6°C, with humidity levels at 81%.

However, no rainfall was recorded in Dhaka and its surrounding areas in the last 24 hours, the Meteorological Department said.
