Hadi admitted to Singapore General Hospital

Inqilab Mancha spokesperson and potential Dhaka-8 independent candidate Sharif Osman Hadi has been admitted to Singapore General Hospital for treatment.

Dr Abdul Ahad, resident physician of the neurosurgery department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and member secretary of the National Health Alliance, said Hadi was taken to Singapore General Hospital at 6:50 pm Bangladesh time on Monday, December 15, where he was admitted and his treatment has begun.

Earlier in the day, an air ambulance carrying Hadi departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Singapore at 1:55 pm.

Sharif Osman Hadi was shot last Friday afternoon on Box Culvert Road in the Purana Paltan area of the capital, a day after the announcement of the schedule for the 13th national parliamentary election. Two attackers on a motorcycle opened fire, hitting him in the head. He was initially treated at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
