Hasnat Abdullah, one of the key coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has strongly criticized any efforts to rehabilitate the Awami League, saying that such initiatives will be recorded in history as actions by enemies of the people. He expressed these views in a post on his personal Facebook profile on Tuesday. In his post, Hasnat wrote: “Desiring to ascend to the throne of power by stepping on the blood of the youth and making Delhi the qibla is a betrayal of the intention for the liberation of the people. "Those who embody the spirit of the July uprising and aim to reflect the hopes and aspirations of the masses cannot offer a second political stance on the Awami League in post-2024 Bangladesh without ensuring the demand for justice against that party.”
