Hasnat, Sarjis among 5 NCP leaders served show-cause notices

The National Citizens Party (NCP) has issued show-cause notices to five senior leaders, including Hasnat and Sarjis, for visiting Cox’s Bazar without prior approval from the party’s Political Council.

The notice, signed by NCP Joint Member Secretary (Office) Saleh Uddin Sifat, was issued on Wednesday (August 6).

It states that the leaders traveled to Cox’s Bazar on August 5—a significant national day marking the anniversary of the July Uprising—without notifying the party leadership.

The notice directs the individuals to appear before NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain within 24 hours and submit a written explanation for their actions.
