Hatiya UNO made OSD after intimate video goes viral on social media

Md Alauddin, Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) of Hatiya in Noakhali, has been transferred to the Ministry of Public Administration as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) after an intimate video of him with a woman went viral on social media.

The transfer and posting order was issued in a notification signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Mu Tanvir Hasan Sumon of the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday, March 18.

Noakhali Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shafiqul Islam confirmed the matter, stating that he received the ministry's notification on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier on Monday, a video showing intimate moments between Md Alauddin and a woman was shared from various Facebook IDs, sparking widespread reactions on social media. However, the UNO has claimed that the video was created using artificial intelligence (AI) with the intention of defaming him.

According to local sources, after the video went viral, he left his workplace on Monday morning and headed to the district headquarters.

Regarding the matter, Md Alauddin said that someone with ill intentions, due to previous enmity from his earlier workplace, had done this. He stated that he has spoken with senior officials about the matter and is preparing to take legal action according to their advice.
