HC to resume proceedings Sunday with 49 newly formed benches

Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed has reconstituted 49 benches in the High Court Division to resume judicial proceedings following the court’s annual vacation. Hearings are scheduled to begin this Sunday.

The Supreme Court published the Chief Justice’s order on its official website on Tuesday. According to the notice, the restructured setup includes 28 division benches and 21 single benches, each assigned specific jurisdictions.

The High Court had been on recess from June 3 to June 21. As is customary, the Chief Justice exercises his administrative authority to reorganize the benches at the end of each vacation or as required.
