Head of Hizb ut Tahrir placed on 3 day remand

The court has granted a 3 day remand of Imtiaz Selim, head of the media wing of the banned militant organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir, in a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

On Friday (October 4), Inspector Md Khairul Islam of the CTTC's Cyber Intel Team applied for a 7-day remand in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court.

Following the hearing, Judge Shahin Reza approved a 3-day remand of the accused.

Earlier this morning, CTTC unit arrested Imtiaz Salim from the capital's Bashundhara residential area.
