As COVID-19 cases begin to rise once more across the country, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a public advisory urging citizens to wear masks and maintain health safety protocols, especially in crowded areas.

In an official notification signed by Md Mamun Or Rashid, public relations officer of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the government emphasized the importance of preventive measures to curb the potential spread of the virus.

“Considering the rising COVID-19 infection rate, it is important to wear masks in crowded places. Additionally, elderly and sick people are advised to avoid these places,” the statement read.

Health experts have endorsed the move, calling it a timely and necessary response to the resurgence of infections. They have stressed the importance of wearing masks, washing hands regularly, using hand sanitizers, and avoiding large gatherings as key tools for personal and public protection.

According to government sources, new COVID-19 cases have been reported in several districts. In light of this, the Health Ministry has called on the public to remain alert and strictly follow hygiene guidelines to help contain the virus and prevent a larger outbreak.
