Hero Alom arrested in rape and abuse case over marriage promise

Police arrested content creator Ashraful Alam alias Hero Alam from Bogura in a case filed on charges of rape and physical torture on the pretext of marriage on Wednesday (February 19). He was taken to court after his arrest.

According to the case information, Hero Alam, by promising to make Sadia Rahman Mithila a heroine, raped and physically tortured her by deceiving her by promising to marry her. In addition, there are allegations that Mithila was forced to have an abortion. When she denied the allegations, Mithila filed the case under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act on April 21, 2025.

The initial report of the PBI investigation found the truth of the incident. Then, Judge Anwarul Haque of Bogura's Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-2 ordered the issuance of an arrest warrant against Hero Alam on February 10.
