The Hindu community has staged a demonstration in capital's Shahbagh, demanding eight key points, including an end to the mistreatment of minorities and the prosecution of those responsible.

Under the banner of 'Sanatani Adhikar Andolan,' the Hindu community organized a demonstration in Shahbagh starting at 4:00 pm on Friday (September 13). The protest has caused significant traffic congestion in the area.

They also called for the prompt arrest and punishment of those responsible for the attacks and demanded the immediate implementation of their eight-point proposal submitted to the interim government earlier.

The key demands include: expedited trials for attacks on minorities, compensation and rehabilitation for victims of communal violence, legislation to protect minorities, the establishment of a ministry for minority affairs, support for Hindu religious welfare trusts, and a five-day holiday for Durga Puja.
