Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Manch Central Committee Spokesperson Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari has said that Abu Sayeed and Mughdra were martyred to eliminate discrimination in the country. Hindus are the most discriminated against in the country that they got in return for their sacrifice.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Rangpur divisional rally of Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Manch at Mahiganj College Ground in Rangpur on Friday (November 22) afternoon. The rally was organized to protest against the nationwide 'Hindu torture, oppression and attacks on temples' and to achieve 8-point demands.

Chinmoy Krishna said, "70 percent of those who fled to India to save their lives during the independence war in 1971 are Hindus. Their houses and properties have been looted and seized. Even after so many years of independence, that trend continues.

He claimed that even though terrorists, politicians, and militants were released from prison after August 5, no Hindu was released.

Addressing the government, Chinmoy Krishna said, "Accept our 8-point demand. Many things have changed after August 5, many issues have been resolved, but it has been three months our issue is not being addressed. On the contrary, Hindu houses are still being looted, Hindu jobs are being lost, which is painful."

He complained about people being prevented from coming to the rally, saying, "People from Dinajpur-Nilphamari were not allowed to come. Bus services have been stopped. Some people attacked Hindus while they were coming to the rally."

Several thousand leaders and activists of different Hindu organizations including the National Hindu Mahajot and Minority Front participated in the rally.

The organization's co-spokesperson Gopinath Brahmachari, Rangpur division coordinator Dipankar Bhattacharya, Manik Chowdhury, Ratar Roy, Sujan Roy, Alok Ghosh and Rabindranath, among others, also spoke at the rally.
