The prosecution in the case of the killing of two Bangladeshi students, Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy, has alleged that the accused, 26-year-old Hisham Abugharbieh, used artificial intelligence (AI) to research methods of disposing of bodies.

Court documents cited by the prosecution show that days before the murders, Abugharbieh reportedly asked an online AI platform questions about placing a body in a trash bag and disposing of it in a dumpster, and how to avoid detection. The AI platform reportedly responded that the act was dangerous.

The incident took place in Florida, USA, with the investigation being led by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. The documents state that Abugharbieh made these inquiries on April 13, days before Limon and Bristy went missing on April 16.

Abugharbieh, who was Limon's roommate, is accused of killing both and then attempting to conceal their bodies. Investigators have found traces of blood and personal items at the scene. DNA tests on items found in a dumpster and the apartment are said to match both victims.

Limon's body was recovered near a bridge, but Bristy's whereabouts remain unknown, and there is no evidence she is alive. Florida Police have recovered dismembered human remains while searching for Bristy in the Tampa Bay area. However, identification is yet to confirm whether the recovered body parts belong to her.

The prosecution states that following the killings, Abugharbieh attempted to hide and mislead information. The defense has not yet commented on the matter. The case is currently pending in court.
