Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury visited Evercare Hospital on Saturday (November 29) to inquire about the health of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. He arrived at the hospital at 1:18pm and spoke with her doctors to receive the latest updates on her condition. Hospital sources said Khaleda Zia has been suffering from multiple chronic complications and is currently under intensive care. Security measures around the hospital were tightened during the Home Affairs Adviser’s visit. In recent days, several political leaders and personalities have also visited the hospital to check on Khaleda Zia’s health.

সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও বিএনপি চেয়ারপারসন বেগম খালেদা জিয়ার স্বাস্থ্যের খোঁজখবর নিতে এভারকেয়ার হাসপাতালে গেছেন অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারের স্বরাষ্ট্র উপদেষ্টা লেফটেন্যান্ট জেনারেল (অব.) মো. জাহাঙ্গীর আলম চৌধুরী। শনিবার দুপুর ১টা ১৮ মিনিটে তিনি রাজধানীর বাসাবো থেকে হাসপাতালটিতে পৌঁছান। সেখানে তিনি খালেদা জিয়ার চিকিৎসকদের সঙ্গে কথা বলেন এবং তার সর্বশেষ শারীরিক অবস্থার বিষয়ে তথ্য নেন। হাসপাতাল সূত্র জানায়, দীর্ঘদিন ধরে নানা জটিলতায় ভুগছেন খালেদা জিয়া। বর্তমানে তাকে নিবিড় পর্যবেক্ষণে রাখা হয়েছে। স্বরাষ্ট্র উপদেষ্টার আগমনকে কেন্দ্র করে হাসপাতাল এলাকায় নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা জোরদার করা হয়। উল্লেখ্য, সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে বিভিন্ন রাজনৈতিক দল ও ব্যক্তিত্ব খালেদা জিয়ার শারীরিক অবস্থার খোঁজ নিতে হাসপাতালে&nbsp;যাচ্ছেন।
