Home affairs adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury visited BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia at hospital. He arrived at Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara, Dhaka at around 6pm on Wednesday December 10, said BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan. Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital since November 23. Doctors from London and China have joined the medical board overseeing her treatment. Although discussions were ongoing regarding taking her to London for advanced treatment, the medical board has not yet given consent considering her current health condition.

বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসন খালেদা জিয়াকে দেখতে হাসপাতালে গেছেন স্বরাষ্ট্র উপদেষ্টা লেফটেন্যান্ট জেনারেল (অব.) জাহাঙ্গীর আলম চৌধুরী। বুধবার (১০ ডিসেম্বর) সন্ধ্যা ৬টার দিকে রাজধানীর বসুন্ধরা এভারকেয়ার হাসপাতালে যান তিনি। বিএনপির মিডিয়া সেলের সদস্য শায়রুল কবির খান গণমাধ্যমকে এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন। গত ২৩ নভেম্বর থেকে এভারকেয়ার হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন আছেন খালেদা জিয়া। তার চিকিৎসায় গঠিত মেডিক্যাল বোর্ডে যুক্ত রয়েছেন লন্ডন ও চীন থেকে আসা চিকিৎসক দল। উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য তাকে লন্ডনে নেওয়ার কথা থাকলেও শারীরিক অবস্থা বিবেচনায় এ বিষয়ে এখনও মত দেয়নি মেডিকেল বোর্ড।
