Eid means new clothes, beauty, and a time filled with joy. An important part of preparing for this festival will be taking care of the skin. During the month of Ramadan, fasting throughout the day, lack of water, irregular sleep, and changes in the weather may cause many people’s skin to become dull or dry. Therefore, starting a regular skincare routine a few days before Eid will help keep the skin fresh, bright, and lively.

According to skin experts, skin is best when you take care of it gradually and according to the rules, rather than trying to get quick results at the last minute. Below are some important aspects of skin care before Eid.

Drink enough water

Due to not drinking water for a long time during Ramadan, the body can become dehydrated, which makes the skin feel tired. Therefore, it is very important to drink enough water from iftar to sehri.

After iftar, try to drink 8-10 glasses of water slowly.

If you want, you can soak chia seeds in water and drink it, which helps maintain water balance in the body.

Electrolyte drinks or coconut water help to hydrate the body quickly.

When water deficiency is met, the skin naturally looks bright and vibrant.

Clean the skin regularly

Dirt accumulates on the skin due to dust, sweat, and pollution. Therefore, it is important to clean the face with a mild face wash every morning and night.

You should wash your face at least twice a day.

You must clean your face after coming from outside.

If you use excessive makeup, it is better to do double cleansing.

Clean skin not only prevents acne, but also helps keep the skin bright.

Removing dead cells (exfoliation)

If dead skin cells accumulate, the skin looks dull. Therefore, light scrubbing can be done two to three times a week.

Scrubbing makes the skin smooth and bright.

This allows moisturizers and serums to be easily absorbed into the skin.

However, excessive scrubbing should not be done. This can cause irritation or increased sensitivity to the skin.

Ways to reduce dark circles

During Ramadan, many people's sleep patterns change. This can cause dark circles under the eyes.

The causes of dark circles under the eyes can be - lack of sleep, dehydration, stress and genetic factors.

In this case, using a good moisturizer and hydrating serum can be beneficial. It is also important to use sunscreen.

Use sunscreen

Many people think that sunscreen is not necessary during the month of Ramadan or when staying at home. But skin experts say that sunscreen should always be used.

Apply sunscreen 15-20 minutes before going out.

Use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 or more.

It is better to reapply after two to three hours.

Sunscreen prevents dark spots, wrinkles and sunburn on the skin.

Nutritional balance in Iftar food

Skin health depends largely on dietary habits. Eating fried foods in excess oil during Iftar can increase acne or skin problems.

So you can include in your diet - fruits and salads, foods like chickpeas or lentils,
yogurt or sour curd, nuts and seeds. These help to give the body strength and keep the skin healthy.

The right time to do facial

Doing a facial the day before Eid can often be risky. Because allergies or rashes can appear on the skin with any new product.

According to experts - it is better to do a facial at least 10-12 days before Eid.

It is safe not to try new types of facials.

Use only the facial that suits your skin.

Adequate sleep and mental relaxation

There is a deep relationship between sleep and the beauty of the skin. If you do not get enough sleep, the skin looks tired and dull.

Try to sleep for at least 6-7 hours every day.

Reduce the use of mobile phones late at night.

You can do light exercise or meditation to reduce mental stress.

Follow a regular routine

The most important thing to keep your skin beautiful before Eid is regular care.

A simple skincare routine can be—face wash in the morning, moisturizer,
sunscreen, cleansing and serum at night.
