HSC, equivalent exam results likely on October 16

The results of this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations are expected to be published between 16 and 18 October, according to preliminary agreements reached by the chairmen of all education boards. The decision was made at a meeting of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee on Thursday.

Professor S.M. Kamal Uddin Haider, Controller of Examinations of Dhaka Education Board, told reporters, “We discussed several possible dates—16, 17, and 18 October. A proposal will be submitted to the Ministry of Education next Sunday.”

Officials noted that since 17 and 18 October fall on weekends, the results may likely be announced on 16 October.

The exams, conducted simultaneously across 11 education boards nationwide, began on 26 June. This year, a total of 1,251,111 students took part, including 618,015 male students and 633,096 female students. The examinations were held at 2,797 centers across the country.
