The 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations are being held across the country in a fair and peaceful environment, according to Education Adviser Professor Dr. C. R. Abrar.

Speaking to reporters after visiting Bhasantek Government College and Government Bangla College exam centers in Dhaka on Thursday morning, Dr. Abrar said that the examinations are progressing smoothly from the very first day.

“Students arrived on time, and exams began as scheduled. A calm and disciplined environment has been maintained at all centers,” he said. “This has been made possible through the joint efforts of law enforcement agencies, education officials, and other stakeholders.”

Dr. Abrar also emphasized the government's strong stance against question paper leaks and malpractice. “All necessary measures have been taken to prevent rumors and ensure a cheating-free environment. So far, no irregularities have been reported,” he added.

Officials including the center principals, exam secretaries, room invigilators, and members of the law enforcement agencies were present during the visit.

The 2025 HSC and equivalent examinations began simultaneously across the country at 10:00 AM on Thursday. The written exams will continue until August 10. This year, a total of 1,251,111 students are participating in the exams nationwide.
