The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under the Chattogram Education Board are set to resume today (July 27), after remaining suspended for nearly three weeks due to floods and adverse weather conditions.

With the resumption, thousands of candidates under the Chattogram Board will return to examination halls, while HSC and equivalent exams will also continue across the country's other nine general education boards, as well as the Madrasah and Technical Education Boards, in line with the previously announced schedule.

According to the routine, examinations under the nine general education boards will begin at 10:00am, featuring Civics and Good Governance (First Paper), Biology (Theory–First Paper), and Business Organization and Management (First Paper). The Food and Nutrition (First Paper) exam will be held in the afternoon.

Under the Madrasah Education Board, Alim candidates will sit for History of Islam, Physics (Theory–Second Paper), and Tajweed (Second Paper, Mujabbid Mahir Division). Meanwhile, the Technical Education Board will conduct the Human Resource Management-I examination for HSC (BMT) students.

The Chattogram Education Board suspended all remaining HSC and equivalent examinations on July 16, citing the post-flood situation, candidates' physical and mental wellbeing, and disruptions to road communication in the affected areas.

The suspension also applied to Alim examinations and the remaining papers of HSC (BMT), HSC (Vocational), and Diploma in Commerce under the Technical Education Board.

With conditions improving, the postponed examinations are now resuming under the revised schedule.
