HSC results to be published on Oct 16
The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on October 16, according to a circular from the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
The notice stated that results of the 2025 HSC and equivalent examinations under the Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh Education Boards, as well as the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board, will be released at 10:00 am through the respective boards’ websites, exam centres, educational institutions, and via SMS.
Institutions will be able to download their results by clicking on the “Result” section on the website www.educationboardresults.gov.bd
using their board and EIIN number. Students can collect their results from their respective institutions, from the official website mentioned, or from their education board’s website.
Results can also be obtained through SMS by sending a message to 16222 using the prescribed format. However, results will not be available from education boards, the Ministry of Education, or newspaper offices.
Applications for re-scrutiny will be accepted from October 17 to 23. Details regarding the re-scrutiny process will be announced on the education boards’ websites and in newspapers.
This year’s HSC and equivalent examinations began on 26 June and ended on 19 August, slightly later than scheduled due to postponements of some subjects. As per regulations, results must be published within 60 days of the completion of written exams.
Under 11 education boards, a total of 1,251,111 students registered for the examinations—618,015 male and 633,096 female candidates. Examinations were held across 2,797 centres nationwide. Around 27,000 students did not attend the exams, leaving over 1.2 million candidates awaiting their results.
