Krishak Sramik Janata League President Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddique Bir Uttom has said that he will not participate in the upcomi g national elections without Awami League, Jatiya Party and 14-party alliance.

He said: "If Awami League, Bangabandhu’s Awami League, Bhashani’s Awami League, Bangladesh’s people’s Awami League and voters’ Awami League, Jatiya Party and 14-party alliance are kept out of the elections, then I will not contest it with gamchha symbol. I am a freedom fighter, I fought the liberation war chanting Joy Bangla. Bangabandhu is my rumination, knowledge, my consciousness.’

He made the remarks while addressing the party’s rally as the chief guest at Baheratail High School ground in Baheratail Union of Sakhipur in Tangail on Monday (November 10) afternoon.

Stating that Sheikh Hasina has oppressed and humiliated people for 16 years, Bangabir Siddique said: "People did not drive her away for no reason. The amount of extortion collected by boatmen during her time, the leaders of other parties have raised 10 times that amount in the last 14 months. These 8-10 kids could not bring her down, BNP could not, Jamaat could not either. But she has fallen. I believe that her fall has come from Allah. Sheikh Hasina did not let people vote. This government will not let us vote either."

"When Sheikh Hasina fell, the number one symbol on people's minds was sheaf of paddy. Now this symbol has become poison to them. If people are angry and remove Sheikh Hasina, it will not take long for people to forget BNP," he added.

Stating that Jamaat will never be able to rule the country unless it truly apologizes for the crimes it committed during the Liberation War, he said: "Jamaat-e-Islami is making a lot of leaps and bounds today. I swear to God that if they contest elections alone, they will not get more than five seats."

He said: "Sometimes you have to fight to realize your demands and rights. That does not mean you have to create chaos. I like war, but I do not like chaos. There is chaos in the country now. How many houses have been destroyed? Finally, I hear that the home of the highest person of the state's government was also attacked. How can a person who cannot protect himself or his house provide security to 180 million people?"

Addressing Dr Yunus, Kaded Siddique said: "When Sheikh Hasina called you a usurer, I stood by your Grameen Bank. If I had not stood by you, Grameen Bank would have dusted on the ground. In the future, not only Grameen Bank, but also everything in the name of Grameen is in danger."

The rally, chaired by freedom fighter Matiar Rahman, was also addressed among others by Tangail District Krishak Sramik Janata League Acting General Secretary Abu Salek Hitlu, Upazila unit Krishak Sramik Janata League President Abdus Sabur, General Secretary Sanwar Hossain Sajeeb and Sanwar Hossain Master.
