The prosecution team has informed the International Criminal Tribunal that they have obtained call records of Sheikh Hasina and others involved in the killings during the anti-discrimination student movement in July-August. Along with this, crucial information and evidence regarding the disappearances have also been found.

This information was disclosed today, Monday, by the Prosecutor’s Office of the International Criminal Tribunal.

The killings that took place in Bangladesh in July and August, first over quotas and then over the government's overthrow, are being called as 'genocide'.

Although there has been much talk about the number of people killed in the movement, the actual number has not yet been determined. However, according to a list from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the number of dead is 708.

Work is underway to determine the number of dead.
