To ensure security within the Supreme Court premises, the Supreme Court administration has made it mandatory for everyone to carry identification while entering the premises.

This directive was issued in a notice signed by Md. Habibur Rahman Siddiqui, Registrar of the High Court Division, on Monday (August 4).

The notice states that in order to ensure the security of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, lawyers, their assistants, litigants, and all officials and staff working at the Supreme Court are requested to carry their respective identification cards while entering the court.

Additionally, for security reasons, individuals may be asked by on-duty law enforcement officers to present their National ID (NID), passport, or official ID card, and are requested to comply accordingly.

The Supreme Court administration seeks sincere cooperation from all concerned to maintain overall security on the premises.
