Krishna Nandi, Jamaat-e-Islami's nominated parliamentary candidate for Khulna-1 constituency, said as per the prevalent concepts, people think that if Jamaat comes to power, Hindus will be barred from staying in the country. But the reality is otherwise, they will be pampered like kith and kin. He claimed that the fear in the Hindu community is baseless.

Speaking as a special guest at Jamaat-e-Islami's election rally at Khulna Circuit House Maidan on Tuesday (January 27) afternoon, Krishna Nandi said, "Our mission is to ensure a safe and dignified environment for people of all religions."

Noting that Jamaat does not buy votes with money, he said,"Cows and goats are sold for money. A quarter has been carrying sacks full of money. You will not sell votes for money. Vote is your right, respect it."

Jamaat-e-Islami Khulna district and metropolitan unit organized this election rally. Ameer Shafiqur Rahman of the party was the chief guest in the meeting.
