Import-export resumes through Hili Land Port after three-day suspension
Import and export activities through Hili Land Port resumed on Saturday (February 14) after a three-day suspension due to the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the weekly holiday.
The matter was confirmed by Sakhawat Hossain Shilpi, president of the port’s Importers and Exporters Group.
Trade operations formally restarted around 12:00pm as goods-laden trucks from India entered the port, officials said.
Shilpi said the port had remained closed on Wednesday and Thursday for the national election and on Friday for the weekly holiday. “From today, import and export activities have resumed and operations at the port will continue as usual,” he added.
