India spreading propaganda against Bangladesh: Fakhrul
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has alleged that India is conducting a propaganda campaign against Bangladesh, which he believes poses a significant danger.
Speaking to the press on Wednesday morning at his residence in Tangipara, Thakurgaon, Mirza Fakhrul made these comments during an interaction with journalists.
The BNP Secretary General stated, "The fascist leader Sheikh Hasina is in India. And India is spreading propaganda against Bangladesh, which is a grave threat. Certain individuals are attempting to ruin the achievements of Bangladesh. The people of the country must remain alert."
Mirza Fakhrul Islam further remarked, "The appointment of advisers is the prerogative of the chief adviser. However, we would say that no controversial person should be given responsibility. Caution must be exercised in this matter. It is our responsibility to make this government successful because we are also partners in this movement."
He added, "We must also be tolerant so that the current government can complete all the reform work in the country in a peaceful and orderly manner. After such a revolution in the country, all systems had collapsed."
Earlier, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir laid the foundation stone for the newly constructed building of the district BNP office. The BNP office had been destroyed in a fire set by miscreants on August 4.
Also present at the event were district BNP General Secretary Mirza Faisal Amin, Vice President Obaidullah Masud, Joint General Secretary Paygam Ali, and Finance Secretary Shariful Islam Sharif, among others.
