India-Bangladesh cultural bond deep, historic: Pranay Verma

The cultural relationship between India and Bangladesh is very deep and rooted in a long history, Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Pranay Verma has said.

He made the remarks at the 'ICCR Day' event organised to mark the 77th founding anniversary of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) in Gulshan on Friday, April 10.

He said the Indian High Commission and IGCC are not just diplomatic institutions but also important centres for cultural exchange, helping to increase understanding and connection between the people of both countries.

The event was organised to further strengthen the enduring cultural partnership between the two nations. High Commissioner Verma also inaugurated a two-day art camp titled 'Sampriti' organised by IGCC.
