Indian envoy Pranay Verma pays farewell call on Foreign Minister

Indian High Commissioner (HC) to Bangladesh Pranay Verma paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman on Sunday (May 4), as he nears the end of his tenure in Dhaka.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current state of Bangladesh–India relations, expressing satisfaction over continued cooperation across key areas including development, connectivity, and people-to-people ties.

The High Commissioner thanked the Foreign Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their consistent support in advancing bilateral relations during his posting in Bangladesh.

He reiterated India’s commitment to further strengthening ties with Bangladesh based on mutual respect, mutual interest and shared development priorities, with an emphasis on expanding people-centric cooperation.

The Foreign Minister appreciated the High Commissioner’s contributions during his tenure and wished him success in his future assignment, according to diplomatic sources.
