Indian High Commissioner holds talks with Mahdi Amin on bilateral partnership

Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Dinesh Trivedi has met with Mahdi Amin, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Education, Primary and Mass Education, Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, and Labour and Employment.

The meeting, held on Thursday, September 17, discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and cooperation between Bangladesh and India.

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka said the meeting emphasised the close ties between the peoples of the two countries as one of the foundations of bilateral relations. They also discussed taking the relationship forward based on mutual trust and interests.

The meeting stressed the need to further strengthen the bilateral partnership for the mutual welfare and prosperity of the people of Bangladesh and India. Mahdi Amin and Dinesh Trivedi exchanged views on various areas of future-oriented cooperation.

Cooperation in the education sector received importance in the discussion. Opportunities for joint initiatives and mutual cooperation between the two countries in technology and innovation were also discussed.

Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi has been holding a series of meetings with officials at various levels of the Bangladesh government since assuming charge. Earlier, he also met with the President of Bangladesh, the Adviser on Public Administration, and the Minister for Environment.

These recent meetings have highlighted strengthening cooperation in various sectors, including education, environment, communication, trade and people-to-people ties. In continuation of this, the meeting with Mahdi Amin gave special importance to education, technology and innovation.
