Indian high commissioner meets PM’s foreign affairs adviser
Bangladesh and India have expressed optimism about further expanding their close bilateral relations as Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir held talks with Indian High Commissioner Pranay Kumar Verma in the capital.
The Indian envoy paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon on Thursday morning, said a press release here.
During the meeting, the two sides held fruitful discussions on the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and India and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
They also exchanged views on the historic bonds of friendship between the two countries as well as on regional stability, trade, connectivity and development cooperation.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to working for the welfare of the peoples of the two countries on the basis of mutual respect, trust and cooperation.
The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
