Indian medical team concludes Bangladesh visit, experts return

The Indian medical team, made up of specialists from two leading hospitals in India, returned home this evening after completing their mission in Bangladesh.

While in Dhaka, the team collaborated closely with Bangladeshi doctors at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS), providing expert medical guidance to aid in the treatment and recovery of victims from the Milestone tragedy.

The Indian team expressed satisfaction with the treatment protocols at NIBPS and shared expert opinions on handling the most critical cases.

According to a press release from the Indian High Commission in Dhaka, India remains ready to provide any additional support needed by Bangladesh for critical medical care and rehabilitation of those injured in the tragic incident, including advanced treatment in India if required.

The visit of the Indian medical team following this national tragedy in Bangladesh highlights the strong people-to-people ties and the lasting bonds of empathy between our two countries, the release stated.

The four-member team arrived in Bangladesh on July 23, fulfilling the commitment made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide support and assistance after the devastating air crash at Milestone School and College in Dhaka on July 21.
