Indian President greets Bangladesh on Independence Day
Indian President Droupadi Murmu has extended greetings on behalf of the Indian government and its people on the occasion of Bangladesh's Independence Day. The Indian High Commission in Dhaka shared this information in a message on Wednesday, March 25.
In her message addressed to President Md Sahabuddin, Murmu wrote: "On behalf of the Government and people of India and on my own behalf, I extend my heartfelt greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency and the friendly people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the National Day of Bangladesh."
"India and Bangladesh are bound by a shared history, deep cultural connections and a long-standing linguistic heritage, which form the foundation of our close partnership. Over the years, we have achieved significant progress in advancing people-centric development in key sectors such as connectivity, trade, development partnership, power and energy, capacity building and education, delivering tangible benefits to citizens on both sides of the border."
"India is keen to work closely with Bangladesh to further strengthen our bilateral partnership and to advance regional peace, stability and prosperity."
"Your Excellency, please accept once again the assurance of my highest consideration and my sincere best wishes to the Government and the people of Bangladesh."
