Indian visa centre wraps up services due to security risks
The Indian Visa Centre in Bangladesh will remain closed from 2pm onward on Wednesday (December 17), due to emerging security concerns between the two countries, according to a notice posted on IVAC Bangladesh’s official website.
The notice stated that all operations scheduled after 2pm will be suspended, and no services will be available for applicants during this period.
Applicants who had appointments or slots scheduled for Wednesday will be rescheduled with new dates and times, the statement added, assuring that services will resume once the situation stabilises.
The move comes amid heightened security vigilance, reflecting precautionary measures to ensure the safety of staff and visitors at the visa centre.
