Inqilab Mancha and the family of the deceased have staged a sit-in in front of the Chief Adviser's residence, Ganabhaban, demanding a UN-supervised investigation into the killing of Sharif Osman Hadi. They took position at the entrance of Ganabhaban around 5 pm on Thursday, February 5.

Inqilab Mancha's member secretary Abdullah Al Jabir said that although about 54-55 days have passed since Osman Hadi's killing, no specific information about those involved in the murder is yet known. They fear whether any trial will be held at all after the interim government departs. He said Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus is their last hope, and their demand to him is to take the initiative for a UN-supervised investigation into Hadi's killing by sending a letter to the UN, similar to how the impartial investigation into the July massacre was conducted.

Meanwhile, Dhaka-8 constituency candidate nominated by the 11-party alliance and chief coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP), Nasiruddin Patwary, appeared in front of Ganabhaban and expressed solidarity with the demands of Inqilab Mancha.
