Interim govt will not implement pay scale: Energy Adviser
The interim government will not implement the new pay scale, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan said on Tuesday.
He made the remarks while speaking to journalists after a meeting of the government’s advisory committee on public procurement.
The adviser said the Pay Commission has only submitted its report on increasing salaries for government officials and employees, but the interim government will not move forward with implementing the pay scale.
He added that an elected government will be free to either implement or scrap the proposed pay scale, noting that it will not create any pressure on the next elected administration.
