Iran thanks Bangladesh for solidarity with Tehran

The Iranian Embassy in Dhaka has thanked the government and people of Bangladesh for expressing solidarity with Tehran amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

In a statement issued on Thursday (June 26), the embassy said that Iran is thankful to Bangladesh for strongly condemning the military aggression by Israel’s Zionist regime and its allies.

The statement also said, “We sincerely thank the friendly and brotherly people of Bangladesh for their valuable support and solidarity.”

The embassy noted that the spontaneous sympathy and support shown by Bangladeshi citizens, intellectuals, political leaders, and members of civil society reflect their commitment to justice, freedom, and human values.

According to the statement, Bangladesh’s support for the Iranian people is not only a gesture of friendship but also a reflection of a national will to protect regional sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The embassy claimed that such support from Bangladesh against violations of international law and illegal aggression sends a strong message to the international community.

Reaffirming Iran's position, the statement added that resistance against aggression is not just a legitimate right, but also a moral and humanitarian responsibility. “We emphasize again that mutual solidarity among nations is extremely important in confronting violence, aggression, and expansionist policies.”
