Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi paid a courtesy call on Foreign Affairs State Minister Humaiun Kobir on Wednesday (September 2). The meeting was held at the state minister’s office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the two sides discussed a range of issues of mutual interest. During the meeting, Humaiun Kobir expressed Bangladesh’s willingness to see a swift end to regional tensions in the interests of the people of the region. He also reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to promoting lasting peace and stability in the region.

পররাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী হুমায়ুন কবিরের সঙ্গে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ করেছেন বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত ইরানের রাষ্ট্রদূত ড. জলিল রহিমি জাহানাবাদী। বুধবার (২ সেপ্টেম্বর) পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণাল‌য়ে প্রতিমন্ত্রীর দপ্ত‌রে এই সাক্ষাৎ অনু‌ষ্ঠিত হয়। বৈঠকে তারা পারস্পরিক স্বার্থ সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন। এ সময় প্রতিমন্ত্রী এই অঞ্চলের জনগণের স্বার্থে আঞ্চলিক উত্তেজনার দ্রুত অবসান এবং স্থায়ী শান্তি ও স্থিতিশীলতা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য বাংলাদেশের সদিচ্ছা ব্যক্ত করেন।
