Ishraq rushed to Tarek Rahman
BNP leader Ishraq Hossain has urged the Election Commission to re-examine the documents of the parties recently registered, including Tarek Rahman’s “Amjonotar Dal”.
On Sunday, November 9, Ishraq Hossain, BNP candidate for Dhaka-6 constituency, made the call while visiting Tarek Rahman during his hunger strike in front of the Election Commission office over the registration issue of the “Amjonotar Dal”.
Tarek Rahman went on a hunger strike after the Election Commission denied registration to the new political party named “Amjonotar Dal”. His strike has continued for 125 hours so far. Due to continuous fasting, his health has deteriorated. Four saline bags have already been administered to him. His blood pressure has dropped to a dangerous level, and he is struggling to speak, trying to communicate through gestures.
A statement from Amjonotar Dal said, “Our young leader Tarek Rahman has become critically ill while continuing his hunger strike. He is now at the threshold of life and death. His physical condition is extremely alarming. The Amjonotar Dal earnestly seeks prayers and blessings from the people of the country for his swift recovery.”
