Ishraque Hossain to contest from Dhaka-6 in upcoming polls

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has nominated Ishraque Hossain, son of the late Dhaka mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka, to contest the Dhaka-6 constituency in the upcoming election.

Ishraque Hossain is currently serving as the Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation. His father, Sadeque Hossain Khoka, was a special assistant to the BNP Chairperson’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the nomination list on Monday (November 3) after an urgent meeting at the Chairperson’s Gulshan office.

He said nearly 237 potential candidates have been listed ahead of the February election.
