'Ityadi' heads to riverine Lakshmipur; episode to air on July 31

The popular magazine programme 'Ityadi' has chosen the riverine coastal district of Lakshmipur for its upcoming episode. To showcase the district's history, heritage and natural beauty, an aesthetically designed stage has been set up at the open premises of the century-old Nabinkishore High School.

The episode will air on Bangladesh Television (BTV) after the 8pm news bulletin on July 31. As always, the episode has been written, directed and presented by Hanif Sanket.

This episode will feature two special songs. One is performed by Lakshmipur's artiste Tanjina Ruma and Feni's artiste Sajia Sultana Putul. Additionally, Tanjina Ruma and Rajib have lent their voices to a dance number introducing the district, choreographed by S K Zahid and performed by local dancers.

In the second segment, selected audience members from Lakshmipur will participate in acting alongside the district's notable figure, theatre personality Dilara Jaman.

The episode will also feature a special interview with Nishat Majumdar, the first Bangladeshi woman to conquer Everest, highlighting her experience and the memory of carrying a special 'Ityadi' placard during the expedition.

The foreign segment will feature Australia's famous coastal road, the Great Ocean Road. The episode will also include the popular letters segment and satirical skits on social anomalies and contemporary issues.
