Jamaat Ameer Shafiqur Rahman’s nomination for Dhaka-15 validated

The nomination of Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, for Dhaka-15 in the 13th National Parliament elections has been declared valid.

Returning Officer Md. Yunus Ali confirmed that all documents, including the affidavit, were verified and found error-free.

The verification took place at the Election Training Institute (ETI) in the capital's Agargaon on Saturday (January 3). No complaints were received against Shafiqur Rahman, and his nomination has been formally accepted.

According to the election schedule, the last day for withdrawal of candidacy is January 20, the final candidate list with symbol allocation will be published on January 21, and campaigning will run from January 22 to February 10. Voting is scheduled for February 12.
