Jamaat Ameer visits Mirza Abbas in hospital

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Dr Shafiqur Rahman has visited BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital.

Mirza Abbas is currently receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. The Jamaat Ameer visited him on Thursday night to inquire about his physical condition.

The information was shared in a post on Jamaat-e-Islami's verified Facebook page. It stated that Dr Shafiqur Rahman inquired in detail about the latest health status and ongoing treatment from Mirza Abbas's wife, who was present at the hospital. During the visit, he prayed to Allah for Mirza Abbas's speedy recovery.

Dr Shafiqur Rahman was accompanied by SM Khaliduzzaman, president of Dhaka Metropolitan North Jamaat's Medical Thana.

Dr Shafiqur Rahman also posted on his verified Facebook page around 10:30 pm on Thursday, informing that he had visited the ailing Mirza Abbas at the hospital and inquired about his condition. He prayed to Almighty Allah for Mirza Abbas's swift recovery so that he can return to normal life among his family, colleagues and well-wishers.

According to family sources, Mirza Abbas suddenly lost consciousness during Iftar on Wednesday. As his condition did not improve, he was admitted to the hospital late that night.
