BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has accused Jamaat-e-Islami of making false religious promises for political gain, stating that "Jamaat promises heaven in exchange for votes. They engage in such hypocrisy. We must remain cautious."

He said this while addressing a views-exchange meeting at the Laxmirhat High School ground in KK Bari under Thakurgaon Sadar upazila on Tuesday, November 11 noon.

He said, “If the election is held, they will lose their existence. That is why they are afraid. As a result, Jamaat wants to delay the election with various excuses.”

Speaking about the NCP, Mirza Fakhrul said, “There is not a single NCP in the area. That is why they are aligning with Jamaat. They want PR, but the people do not understand PR. All these are excuses to delay the election.”

District BNP President Mirza Faisal Amin, General Secretary Paigam Ali, Sadar President Abdul Hamid and other leaders and activists were present at the event.
