Jamaat routed, BNP sweeps all seven seats in Bogura

BNP candidates have unofficially won all seven parliamentary constituencies in Bogura in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum. Among the winners is BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman.

The information was obtained from the district administration and returning officer's office late on Thursday night, February 12.

According to unofficial results, in Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency, BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman, contesting with the sheaf of paddy symbol, won with 2,16,286 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman Sohel, contesting with the scale symbol, received 97,626 votes.

In Bogura-1 (Sariakandi-Sonatala) constituency, sheaf of paddy symbol candidate Kazi Rafiqul Islam won with 1,71,440 votes. His nearest rival, scale symbol candidate Md Shahabuddin, received 1,11,026 votes.

In Bogura-2 (Shibganj) constituency, sheaf of paddy symbol candidate Mir Shah Alam won with 1,45,024 votes. Scale symbol candidate Abul Azad Mohammad Shahaduzzaman was defeated with 93,548 votes.

In Bogura-3 (Adamdighi-Dupchanchia) constituency, BNP candidate Abdul Mohit Talukdar won with 1,27,406 votes with the sheaf of paddy symbol. His nearest rival, Nur Mohammad Abu Taher with the scale symbol, received 1,11,026 votes.

In Bogura-4 (Kahaloo-Nandigram) constituency, sheaf of paddy symbol candidate Mosharraf Hossain won with 1,55,339 votes. Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mostafa Foysal, contesting with the scale symbol, received 1,08,978 votes.

In Bogura-5 (Sherpur-Dhunot) constituency, BNP candidate Golam Mohammad Siraj won with 2,48,841 votes. His nearest rival, scale symbol candidate Dobibur Rahman, was defeated with 1,43,329 votes.

In Bogura-7 (Shajahanpur-Gabtali) constituency, BNP candidate Morshed Milton won with 2,62,501 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate with the scale symbol, received 1,15,184 votes.
