Japan expresses deep condolences over Uttara plane crash casualties

The Embassy of Japan in Dhaka has expressed deep sorrow and sympathy over the casualties caused by the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft at the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara, Dhaka.

In a condolence message, Naoki Takahashi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Japan, said, “On behalf of the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives in this tragic accident, and extend my sincere sympathies to the injured and the bereaved families.”

He noted that Milestone School and College holds special significance to them as it recently co-organized the first “Peace Flower Essay Contest” in partnership with JICA.

Takahashi further said, “In this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with Bangladesh. The efforts made by the authorities, hospitals, and others to deal with the situation with utmost care are commendable. We wish the injured a speedy recovery.”
