JCD president stabbed in Bogura, Jamaat-Shibir accused

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader Milon Mia has been stabbed in Dhunot upazila, Bogura. He is currently undergoing treatment at Dhunot Upazila Health Complex.

Milon, president of Dhunot Degree College unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), was attacked around 9:15 pm on Wednesday, February 11, in front of the Hatiyapara polling centre in the Bogura-5 (Sherpur-Dhunot) constituency.

Local BNP leaders and activists said Milon and several others were walking along the road in front of the polling centre when 10-15 Jamaat-Shibir activists and leaders attacked him from behind and stabbed him. They claimed it was a pre-planned attack.

Dhunot Police Station Officer-in-Charge and Inspector (Investigation) could not be reached as their mobile phone numbers were switched off.

When contacted, Dhunot Police Station Assistant Sub-Inspector Shahjahan Ali said no one has been arrested yet in connection with the stabbing of the JCD leader. No written complaint has been received at the police station so far. It is not yet known who carried out the attack.
