JnU students seize 12 Victor Classic buses

Students of Jagannath University (JnU) seized 12 buses operated by Victor Classic on Saturday following allegations of verbal abuse directed at a female student.

The protest was triggered by the student's complaint about an incident on October 14, where a bus, after reaching Gulistan, abruptly ended its route without offering a refund. When she requested a refund, a bus helper reportedly verbally abused her, even after she identified herself as a JnU student.

The situation escalated after the student shared her experience on social media, prompting protests and demands for action against the accused.

University officials, led by Proctor Mohammad Tajjamul Haque, met with representatives from Victor Classic, who promised to address the issue within three days.

Professor Haque said, "If the accused bus helper is not provided within the specified timeframe, all Victor Classic bus services will be halted, and legal action will be pursued against the individual."
