Job seekers blocked the Shahbagh intersection in Dhaka on Sunday evening (April 27), demanding reforms in the Public Service Commission (PSC).

Earlier in the evening, job seekers marched from the Raju Sculpture at Dhaka University to Shahbagh. They blocked traffic after forming a human chain on the road. They declared that the blockade would persist until their demands are fulfilled.

Since April 24, several job seekers have been on a hunger strike under the Raju Sculpture at Dhaka University, calling for reforms. Sunday marked the final day of the ultimatum given to the government.

The protesters are demanding the creation of new questions for the 46th BCS written exam, strict measures to prevent question leaks, resolution of recruitment delays, and the holding of the 46th BCS written exam after the 44th BCS results are declared.

Additional demands include expediting the paper evaluation process, ensuring fairness by allowing candidates to review their papers at the PSC, and issuing an ordinance to increase the number of PSC members from 25 to 30.

In the evening, adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, visited the fasting students at the Raju Sculpture, marking the fourth day of their hunger strike for PSC reforms.
