Jobayed's murder probe diverting to ‘love triangle’ story: JnU Teachers’ Association

The Jagannath University Teachers’ Association has alleged that police are deliberately diverting the investigation into student Jobayed Hossain’s murder by fabricating a “love triangle” story.

At a press conference on Wednesday (October 22), association general secretary Prof. Roich Uddin said Jobayed’s character was being maligned to mislead the probe. He questioned why key witness Shabnam Barsha’s statement about locating Jobayed’s whereabouts was excluded from the case file.

He also raised doubts over CCTV footage showing two suspects in black and red T-shirts, asking whether their clothes had been seized and if professional killers were involved.

Prof. Roich announced that October 27, the university day, will be dedicated to Jobayed’s memory, and a lawyer will be appointed to monitor the case progress.
