Joint forces raid seize 4,880 liters of diesel in Narayanganj

Narayanganj authorities have seized 4,880 liters of illegally stored diesel in a joint operation involving the district administration, BGB, and local police.

Based on a tip-off, officials raided a house near Meghna Depot Bus Stand Road in Siddhirganj late Tuesday night (March 31), arresting 50-year-old Nasir.

A mobile court sentenced him to one month’s imprisonment and fined him Tk 3,000.

The mobile court was conducted by Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Rashed Khan, with participation from Lt. Colonel Mirza Mohammad Arafat of Narayanganj 62 BGB Battalion, Additional District Magistrate Kafi Bin Kabir, Executive Officer SM Foyez Uddin, and Siddhirganj Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Abdul Barik.

District officials said operations against illegal fuel storage and sales will continue.
