Four days after his father's death in Cumilla, a Jubo Dal leader named Touhidul Islam has been accused of being beaten to death on his father's Qulkhani day. Family members and locals have raised this allegation and said that after the law enforcement agencies took him away at night, his body was found on Friday afternoon. His body was recovered from the Cumilla Medical College Hospital after the police called him to report his serious illness. There are many signs of injury on his body. Although the family complained, it was not possible to get a statement from the law enforcement agencies on this matter.

The deceased Jubo Dal leader was the convener of Jubo Dal of Panchthubi Union in Cumilla and the son of the deceased Mokhlesur Rahman of Italla village.

Relatives of the deceased Jubo Dal leader Touhid said that Touhid had a land dispute with Tanjim Ahmed, son of Fazlu Miah of the same area. They allege that the Tanjims are influencing the joint forces against Touhid by giving false information. When the joint forces arrested Touhid, another local, Rahmat Ali's son Saiful Islam, was with them. They told the media that they had killed Touhid with the help of the joint forces.

Rabiul Islam, cousin of the deceased Touhidul Hasan, said, "Yesterday, Touhid's father and my uncle Mokhlesur Rahman's was supposed to happen. He died four days ago. So on Thursday (January 30) night, we slaughtered a cow for the Qulkhani at home. At around 2 or 2.30 am, the joint forces took Touhid from his house. On Friday, at around 12:45 pm, SI Morshed of Cumilla Kotwali Model Police Station called and said, "Touhid's condition is very bad. We should come to Cumilla Medical College Hospital quickly." After reaching the Cumilla Medical College Hospital Hospital, we saw that Touhid was no more. He was dead. His father died four days ago and four days later the joint forces killed Touhid. There are no charges against him at the police station.

SI Morshed said, ‘On Friday, around 11:30 pm, when we went to Gomti Bilash in Jhakunipara in Gomtipar and picked up Touhid in the car in the presence of the army, he was still alive. But the doctor on duty declared him dead after he was brought to the Cumilla Medical College Hospital.

Cumilla Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mohammad Saiful Malik said, "When the army members handed the man over to the police, he felt unwell and died after being taken to the hospital. The cause of death will be known after receiving the autopsy report." He said, "Although a written complaint has not been received from the family yet, the entire matter is being investigated."

Cumilla South District Jubo Dal convener Anwarul Haque said in this regard, "The youth leader was an honest and dedicated leader of the Towhid Dal. Apart from politics, he worked in a private company. He has two daughters. If he was armed, legal action would have been taken. I demand an investigation into his death."

Tanvir Ahmed, a doctor at the emergency department of Cumilla Medical College Hospital, said that the police brought Touhidul Islam to the emergency department at around 12:30 pm on Friday. After conduction various tests, it was found that he had died before being brought to the hospital. There were injury marks on various parts of his body.
